The Chamber Power Partners (CHAMPPS) are active networking groups that meet twice monthly to build relationships and develop business and referrals among the groups’ members. These non-compete groups consist of a variety of members across industries but include only one business per business category in each group. CHAMPPS Blue was formed in 2005 and currently has 21 members. Based on fun and friendship, the group places more emphasis on exchanging ideas and getting to know fellow group members than on sharing leads. Whenever possible, meetings are held at members’ places of business to highlight their services. CHAMPPS Blue meets on Thursdays at 7:30 am twice a month. CHAMPPS Red is focused on gaining familiarity with fellow members’ business capabilities in order to generate solid referrals and enlarge members’ professional networks. CHAMPPS Stars & Stripes Currently comprised of 21 members, CHAMPPS Stars & Stripes is an energetic group focused on generating referrals and business for each of its members. CHAMPPS BLAST A rapidly growing group, CHAMPPS BLAST represents many newer businesses in the area and new AHCC members. CHAMPPS BLAST has a laid back, fun approach to helping all members of the group expand their networks. CHAMPPS United is committed to promoting a stronger local economy and seeks to grow member referrals organically by blending a social atmosphere with formal business networking meetings. Business Building Committee
The AHCC’s newest initiative, the Business Building Committee (BBC) was formed to leverage the extensive knowledge and expertise of AHCC members to create professional development programs. The BBC hosts educational seminars for AHCC members on a broad range of practical topics. Its first event, a lunch and learn panel seminar on social media, was held in August. Health & Wellness Committee
The AHCC Health & Wellness Committee is a network of health and fitness professionals dedicated to holistic and integrative approaches to physical, mental and emotional health. Professional Women’s Council
Professional Women’s Council (PWC) members meet on the third Wednesday of the month to network and promote their businesses. Meetings are held over lunch and feature speakers and discussions on topics that can help members grow their businesses and develop as professionals. Technology Advisory Group
Another new AHCC initiative, the Technology Advisory Group (TAG) is a team of technical experts who provide technology advice and information on how the latest technology advances can help members’ businesses. TAG conducts monthly sessions on the third Friday of the month at the AHCC offices. Its counseling services are free to all AHCC members and do not involve any sales pitches.
